This blog is intended to be a tale of mountaineering adventure played out on the crags and mountains of Great Britain and sometimes further afield. Either in the guise of a misguided past time or professionally through work as a mountaineering instructor (MIC).

A Little Bleak at the Moment
Wintry weather is how the television and radio forecasters have described the week so far. Snow, sleet or hail has fallen most days but none of it seems eager to stick around. I've not been out at all, spending time chasing jobs that have that self imposed deadline of Christmas. Jo's been in the forest just about every day and can confirm that it's been cold, horrible damp cold though and not the sort that'll freeze water. I'm heading up to Scotland tomorrow to work on a week long Introduction to Winter Mountaineering Course. There's more snowfall predicted in Wales at the end of the week, I might be wrong but I doubt that I'm going to miss much.
